SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Unity Charitable Trust will shortly become one of the first charities in England and Wales to sign up for The Fundraising Standards Board Quality Mark. This is a voluntary scheme for the self-regulation of fundraising, whereby members agree to adhere to the highest standard s of good practice with their fundraising and to adopt a Donorís Charter.

In addition, Unity Charitable Trust has recently participated in a number of Environmental Workshops. It is envisaged that all of its future projects will include an environmental element
within them, thus ensuring that any training/courses offered today will lead to a sustainable tomorrow, thereby benefiting trainees both now and in the future.
CHARITABLE GIVING THROUGH THE SELF ASSESSMENT TAX RETURN

UCT is one of the selected charities on the Inland Revenue Charity Donations Scheme, which facilitates making charitable donations via the Self Assessment (SA) Tax Return.

Individual taxpayers who complete a Self Assessment return are able to nominate a charity to receive all or part of any repayment and ask for Gift Aid to apply to their donation.

To nominate Unity Charitable Trust to receive an SA repayment, the questions at section 19A of the full Self Assessment return should be completed. Please use the code MAL80ZG on the SA tax return, to identify UCT as your chosen charity.
